Here's an attempt to cover Canon Rock, but I gave up after final recording the mian guitar line, realising it sucked because I forget to pull-off alot of the notes.

actually the problem is that the drums suck, not the guitar playing, but then your not a drummer are you?! It's good to be critical of oneself so that allowances can be made for continual improvement, however being overcritical isn't good. Try it again with pull offs this time round, possibly some sweep picking (which I haven't shown anybody yet  ).

I'll try it and report back in an hour. Thankfully because I used audacity I can just clear the guitar line and leave the rest of the song in tact.

i did a dance song at school using ejay. maybe i can put that up when i get it back which will probably be wheni return to school after these easter holidays. not that you lot would like it anyway because it has no drums or guitars.

i agree with james on your song fire, the drums arent that good. the drum beat that runs all the way through is too tinny (in my opinion)

EJAY! lol! I remember that program... hours of mindless fun in high school music classes sampling awful songs to produce even worse ones. Lovely!

Was that FX-processed MIDI, Fire?

Another one, probably my favourite piece of work.

*Edit* Yeah it was processed by the RSE on Guitar Pro 5.

Oooh I kinda see what you mean there... hmm... not the awesome boss music but the more tamer battle scenes. Damn it, if only I could remember the names of places >.<

Not really no. I think the similarity between the two would be the fact every third note, starting with the firt note of each bar is more defined than the that preceed it.

Other than a similar Rhythm patern I honestly can't see any similarity.

Is there a way we could listen to the ff7 battle music, and your peice side by side?

Hmmm I always seem to think MIDI files sound like game music, it's just that certain quality to them that reminds me of wandering around slashing monsters on FF lol

As someone who listens to FF7 music on a regular basis, I can tell you it doesn't sound like it. The only thing leading to that conclusion is the quality of the format, which gives it a tinny sound.
